First!!!1!1!11!!!!

Hopefully this reads well and not too strenuous to look at. My eyes are very sensitive to light at times, so I try to keep the things I spend the most time with on the darker side for ease. But I digress; hello! Thank you so much for coming to my website. It took a lot of time to make. I’ll be frank and say I was practicing HTML for a long time, a few months actually, before deciding I just didn’t have the time to focus on that anymore and chose to use a pre-built; which I’m okay with! I can still customize this site and use it for it’s intended purposes, like shop hosting, my portfolio, and having a place to articulate my thoughts would be really nice.

I hope to use this as a catalyst for my creativity and connection to my audience. Social media is not really friendly to someone who works on the kinds of things I do, and jumping through hoops just to show people my work is kind of counterintuitive and unfriendly. It feels antisocial more than anything when you cannot reach the people you are meant to reach. I am not a “content creator,” I am an illustrator.

I am very much new at building a website, and there are a lot of things I want to do with mine, like have music, little animated stickers everywhere, use little Deviant Art Cat emoticons in my posts, and have fun things to click on. I want my website to feel like home to me, so combining things like old Deviant Art, MySpace, Geocities, Gaia Online, is important to me.

I know website hosting is complicated, so I don’t know if I can do those kinds of things here, but we will find out over time! We are in no hurry, I just want to enjoy the process and add things as I come up with them. I’d like to figure out if I can use HTML here and add things to my posts like gifs and little silly images, as trying just now did not work. Just comes out as text and a link. Maybe I can play with the old school forum type format, and take advantage of ASCII or something.

I am very excited about this new turn in my career, between the big boost I got from a random reel of my scribbling a scarab, to my first convention, I feel like things are really looking up for my art, and my future as a whole.

Thank you for taking the time to read this! And if you didn’t,

TLDR; happy website birthday, websites are difficult to build, and I’m gonna go make art now yay
